Looking for ideas to make a easily removable blade to go on the front of a crawler loader. Any suggestions? I'm sure someone here has done this already and wanted to see some pics if available. Thanks for reading this.

Why don't you swap to a 4-n-1 bucket?

Do you want something to go on the existing bucket? Weld-on/bolt-on cutting edges are available for most buckets, straight or serrated.
Or does your machine has SSQA (Skid Steer Quick Attach)? If so, you have a world of implements available, including snow/dozer blades.

never considered that. maybe I should. I made a quick change system for my Kubota FEL and can change from a rock rake, to forks to a bucket in a minute. I was just looking for ideas if anyone had added a snow blade to the front of a bulldozer bucket.

If that's what your wanting, then search around for ones built or modified for tractor loader buckets, many many different approaches have been done. Only difference may be that you build it a bit beefier than one for a tractor.

I made a snow plow for my FEL last year. Took a 7' fisher blade and cut off the truck mounts back to where it pivots. Then I welded on attachment points for the FEL pins (along with some extra metal to reinforce everything). I ended up settling with a pin manual pivot rather than hydraulics to change the blade angle. Used it all last winter and it worked great. So much better than clearing snow with a bucket. I picked the blade up for 150 bucks and had some spare angle iron lying around the house so it was relatively inexpensive.

I'll vote for scrapping the idea right now. Have you ever pushed snow on steel tracks? You wouldn't believe how fast a machine can move sideways on those fancy ice skates. I'd take a tractor with tire chains hands down unless you plan on corking the tracks to make them better able to grip the ice.

I wont be pushing snow on the paved drive. It will be for moving snow around the sawmill and logs. I might also end up pushing sawdust into a pile ( then using bucket to load it ) I am very familiar with the high speed of tracks going sideways on a icy hill. LOL. Thanks.
