The dog we have now is a lab that we got earlier this year and is 7 years old. She is a couch potato in the truest sense. Now the lab cross we had for over 10 years that we lost about a year and a half ago was great at barking and treed a few bears over the years. Took it pretty hard when we had to put her down, she was also a house dog. Wife thinks we should get a guardian livestock dog that lives outside, we'll see.
