Snow Making Snow plow Blade Larger on BX2230?

Anyone out there add any extra size to there Kubota snow blades?If so how much?Any ploblems?I have a BX2230 with the 54" realy don't need power angle but some extra width would be nice, any info or Pic's would be helpful.Thanks Red

I added a wear strip to my rear blade of high density plastic. I seem to recall that someone increased the width of a blade by using wider sheets of the plastic and heat forming it in order to fit the contours of the blade. I can't seem to to find the post though.

Anyone remember ?

On my B 2710 I widened the blade from 6' to 8'.
Through bolted a 3' piece of 2x2 angle iron to the cutting blade on each side of the blade. Then took some 1/2 thick rubber conveyor belting an bolted it to the angle iron and the plow blade.
After 3 yrs it is still working fine.
The increased width makes a tremendous difference.
