I bought a Wallenstein thumb for my BX25. The first one was made slightly too small to fit the dipstick. The dealer sent me another one (and said don't bother to send the 1st one back). Now I have an extra one. I used a double nutted stud to spread the cheeks and now the 1st one will fit. Is any one interested in buying one? PM me for details and pictures.

BTW, I love the Wallenstein thumb. It installs easily and works great. I have not had a slippage issue so far.

Is it a " Mallenstein thumb" or do you have your W upside down? i.e. Wallenstein thumb

HP,

I might be interested in it. However, I have a B6100 and am not sure if it will fit. Can you tell me the model number so I can find some specs?

Also, what would you want for it? You can PM me this info if you prefer.

The dealer said it would fit bx21(?) to bx25. The backhoe model is a BT601. I doubt if it would fit anything else.

Very interested I getting a thumb for my bx 24. After watching my buddy use a thumb on his mini excavator I knew i had to have one. What's the cost for one? Are there hydraulic add ons that coat more? What's the install like ?

Search the forums, there have been a couple of guys who added hydraulics to mechanical thumbs. Probably well worth it if you use the hoe a lot.

I have tried to respond to all PM concerning the thumb I am trying to sell. I am probably not using the PM reply process correctly. I am asking $300 + postage.
I will look a little closer at my PM replies to see where I screwed up. Anyone interested PM your e-mail address - I have e-mail figured out!
