Man loses a leg to mower

I'm gonna send that article to my uncle.
He will jump off the tractor while it is still moving with 2 round bales. Open the gate and hold it while the tractor goes through shut the gate then catch up with it and jump back on it. He's in his 60's!!!!!!!!!
He's taught me a lotta things on that farm but I ain't gonna learn that one. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Mike, I suspect that's been done a lot and you can usually get away with it, but sooner or later . . .. A few years ago, I had neighbor who didn't even run that much risk and got hurt. He had to go through a gate with just one round bale on the back of the tractor and there were cattle on both sides of the gate. He didn't want any to get through the gate. So he stopped the tractor all right, got off, chased the cattle away from the gate, opened it, hurried to jump on the tractor, drove through, and in his hurry to get off and get back to close the gate, he slipped, fell off, and damaged a knee. The cattle got through the open gate, he was laid up for a couple of weeks, and I put out the hay for him while he was laid up.
