We got robbed like this once. I won't post the specifics here because I simply don't want to deal with the TBN flack.

We were robbed in the early 70's, they stole a bunch of tools from our farm shop (located about 1/4 mile from the farm house). They were smart, parked off the road directly on the back side of the shop so we could not see them from the house. Insurance replaced our tools, local law did nothing. After getting new tools, we were robbed again. Dad took pictures of the tire tracks, local law again did nothing. Dad talked to a few folks around and found out who was running those tires and it turned out to be a widow with 3 sons in their early 20's owned the vehicle. Dad rolled up his sleeves and visited the widow. She said her boys were not involved. Dad had a private conversation with the boys, something he called "tuned them up". I did not know what that meant at the time, but later learned he beat the !$%@%#^&$ out of them and educated them regarding respecting others property. We were never robbed again. I also learned later that the local was afraid of the boys and were very glad they had been talked to... robberies declined after that.

That is a heckuva long username.

I use that long username as a game to see how fast I can type before the stupid "Do you want to join?" pops up every time that I come to the site:shocked:

However, his stolen American bully dog, Miss Kitty, remains missing.

I wonder who was watching the dog while the owner was away on personal business?

Maybe the dog was in a well provided fenced yard outside.

Even better is a WiFi Camera that sends you an emailed picture when the motion detection is set off. Some have infrared for night and are less than $200. It uses your home WiFi router to connect to the internet. They might steal it, too, but it has already sent you an email.

Ain't so great in my experience - the infrared motion detection is very touchy, even set on the lowest sensitivity, and the slightest thing (like air currents) send it into a frenzy. Not too fun having to clean up the mailbox of messages sent every 3 seconds, each one with 3 jpg images attached. It only has to happen once before the motion detection gets turned off.
