Hey Bloaks guess what happened to me today.. I was minding me own business when this hoon canine came a nipping at me so I put it in a headlock until he started to whinge. Then this yahoo comes running to me and I turned the wog free. Then the aggro bloke busts me right in the snout.. I thought ok bloke lets have a go… but I knew I would just stir it all up if I took him out so I bounced off.

How do the people down under really feel about this. Animal right activists are up in arms.

That's ballsy punching a roo in the face when it clearly shows it's not scared of people, that roo could have easily put that dude on his butt with one kick and hurt him pretty bad.

I can see why people could get offended by this and upset for the animal but the guy hit it one time, he didn't take a baseball bat to the animal and beat the living dog snot out of it. That animal is plenty capable of defending itself.

I don't know where the "Animal activists are up in arms" are, but they're not down here (and we've got our fair share of 'activists'). The bloke barely slapped the roo.

Are the activists upset because he punched a kangaroo (who suffered no injuries other than a busted ego)?

Or are they upset that the video went viral?

I think we should put every person that vents "animal cruelty" in the ring with a boxing Roo and see if they swing a punch or otherwise try to defend themselves. Those folks always spout off at other folks actions whether it be defensive like the guy in the video, a hunter exercising his right to hunt or the fur wearer who sports her new mink coat. I bet the same folks that espouse the cruelty to animals for hunting has no qualms about wolfing down a Big Mac.

I hope that guy gets a lot of beers bought for him as that clip plays over and over in the bars...it was great.
The animal activists as they often do need to get a life and focus on more important things. The dog needed to be rescued. The other animal
was clearly aggressive enough to choke hold the dog. Pretty smart...what's next, instead of Planet of The Apes we get Planet of The Roos?...

As soon as the kangaroo drops the dog he starts bouncing around like a prize fighter and the question is should the guy have just left,
backing up perhaps? Or did he need to persuade the kangaroo to not pursue? Do kangaroos go after you like billy goats, etc?
If they normally leave you alone, which I don't think they always do actually since Youtube has a number of videos with roos punching people,
perhaps all for good reason... too much aggravation by tourists.

So I think he could have de-escalated, but with that big animal bouncing in front of him like a prize fighter,
a wild animal btw, I think he gets to defend himself. Perhaps he pushed the envelope on that but I didn't see the look in that roo's eye either.

I doubt very much the kangaroo was hurt by that punch, but next time, i bet the roo lets go first.
