I received this link of a PHD style stump grinder from a good friend in Newfoundland today.

I like it! Low speed to minimize flying chips and it goes well below the surface to chew up the stump. Also that should eliminate new shoots from sprouting in the future. As much as that tractor got rocked around, it looks like it could use some backhoe style outriggers.

To bad you need a minimum 140 hp :( but man that thing is awsome :drool:

That is impressive ... nothing but mulch. Looks like it's turning about 30 RPM - must be a heap of torque. It almost looks like a flipped over helicopter transmission. It cetainly gave that Deere a good shaking. Not sure I'd want to be on board if it hooked into a piece of ledge, though. Definitely need a slip clutch or shear pin.
