Markham Welding has had some problems in the past with order hi-jacking. The following was taken from their web-site.

This is a very important notice to all our future customers:

When you call and get a quote with Markham Welding, LLC , then call back to order that product please make sure you talk to Melissa, Leslie, Or Allen, in the past we have had customers quote with us then call back to find out where their product was, they never placed that order with us, they called one of our competitors by mistake who pretended to be us. They pretend to be one of us or affiliated with us for the sale after that you will be on your own.

I’m sorry for all the confusion, frustration, and disappointment in their products you received. There is nothing we can do about the past mistaken orders, but we can try to stop this problem now.

When you have to pretend to be someone you’re not for an sale and the companies are NOT affiliated at all with Markham Welding, LLC that should tell you about the integrities of that company, those of you that have been duped know who they are. Our Hours are Mon-Fri from 8:00-5:00 we take lunch from 11:30-12:30. Saturday by appointment. We have let this go long enough, without complaint, thinking that surely they would not or could not be that mean to the public, but they are. We hope you keep buying our products, We hope you are not one of the people that got duped in the past and we sincerely hope this never happens again.

Me too. Got my tooth bar last year within the same week I ordered it. I got lucky and placed my order when a shipment of teeth came in. I got a personal phone call from Melissa afterward to make sure it had arrived and that I was happy with it! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Couple of years ago I got a toothbar for a 'Bota BX from them for $150. Great price, great toothbar, and unbelievably courteous and friendly service. (That Southern Belle's sweet drawl can melt your heart faster than global warming can a glacier).

I think they are a victim of their own success. Word got around as to how good they are and they can't keep up with all the orders. As a small family business, they may not be able to up and expand like WalMart does.

I am sorry to hear that some are having this experience. After the experience I had with them, I really do not think they are the type of people who intentionally want to upset customers.

I am not bad mouthing them. That is not what I said. I spoke many times with Leslie and Melisa (had them on speed dial) and they couldn't be nicer. After all I waited 7 weeks. I wouldn't wait that long for my grandmother. I finally gave up and Melisa graciously agreed. The delay was simply a supplier problem and no fault of Markham welding. On the other hand the toothbar I got off ebay is high quality as well. I was trying to give them a plug not run down Markham. The six foot tooth bar I was quoted was $336 with shipping to Texas. I think the shipping would have been only $38.

Yes, I sure didn't see anybody bad mouthing them. They were curteous but there are other companies out there who make good tooth bars and after a long wait I canceled my order and had one in two weeks.

Even us northern boys love them grits. My wife took one of the calls from Markham and finally discovered why I suddenly wanted to visit the south. My Markham bar is working well.

Bob just a suggestion but since you're buying a New Holland why not give your NH dealer a call? Mine came from a local New Holland store well after the tractor was purchased and I was happy with the price as well as the tooth-bar itself.
