Marlin Lever Action Rifles

The JM mark on the barrel (on the left side just forward of the receiver) indicates that the gun was made in the "old" Marlin plant - pre Remington.

Lately these JM marked guns are highly sought after and command a premium price (as much as 1/3 higher than a few years ago).....as the Marlington's are not up to the old standards. Hopefully Remington will figure out how to build 'em pretty soon.

Marlin .32 lever gun. Manufactured in 1914. It has 2 different firing pins, one for rim fire ammo and one for center fire ammo. Will fire .32 colt long's if you can find them, or .32 colt shorts.

I've never found any rim fire ammo for it. My great grand father used it for varmints on his farm.

I've read about this "combo" gun....sounds interesting. Seems the bolt / firing pin was interchangeable. Not sure how you would find 32 rimfire either.....and if you did, you may not want to shoot it. I suspect your gun would be collectable.

Another Marlin fan here, I've got 3: a 336 30.30, a Golden 39A .22 and a
17A (might be 19A) pump, hexed barrel .22. It looks like an old arcade .22 and is well over 100 years old.

I have tagged many a deer with that 30.30 and it's taken a beating and still is a tack driver. I always win the "Deer Camp Site-in" contest with it.
