Hello all, new to the site. I've been kicking around several options for a new tractor for the home we recently purchased. We have 20 acres which about 5 of it is lawn. I've been thinking seriously about investing in the GC2310 TLB series but i recently ran across a 99 1225 Massey. It's the tractor only and there asking 9900.00 for it. Is this a reasonable price for just the unit? It presently has 700 hours on it but looks in great shape.

Would i be better off going for the GC2310 TLB that's already setup?

I bought a used 1225 a couple of years ago. I think its a 2000 model. It had about 250 hours and I got a Westendorf loader on it. I paid about $10,500 for the combo, so it sounds like yours may be priced a bit high. Another thing to consider is the equipment on the tractor, specifically, is it 4X2 or 4X4, is it a hydro or gear, and what kind of tires. Overall, I'm very happy with the tractor, my biggest gripe is the cost of filters. The air filter is about $40- ouch!
Search my prior posts, and you'll be able to see some pictures.

Thanks for the reply!

The 1225 is hydro but that's it. No attatchments at all. I'd like to have a BH so unfortunately the 1225 is out. No BH option for it and i'm finding out it's a bit hi priced for just the tractor.

I'm now leaning towards getting the GC2310 TLB.
