I have a 1648 Cab HST and a 5455 w/ Dyna 4, and as much as I love the Dyna 4, for fine loader work you can't beat the HST. I have a landscaping/snow removal company and for loader work we use the compacts with hydro even though the 5455 will move a lot more material. On the fuel side, on a 8 hour snow removal run with the blower the 1648 burns around 30 litres of fuel +/- 5litres depending on snow depth, in comparison the 5455 burns the same amount at twice the horsepower. It depends on what you are doing, like it was said before if you are doing a lot of heavy ground work ie: dragging a plow for long periods of time, cultivator, disk, then go the Dyna QPS as that type of work overheats the hydro, but if it's mostly loader work, then I would go HST.
