I am looking at a MF251XE used tractor for sale locally. A 2001 it says in ad. I have never run across this model MF before but it looks to be a rugged tractor and is made in South America I believe. Could not find it on Tractor Data site and think it may have come into US from Canada. Has the 152 Perkins diesel. Seems better built then the made in India tractors. Anyone familiar with this model and have any opinions...... good or bad...... on it?

Made in Brazil like the 471,481. You are right, it is better than the Indian made tractor. Is it a shuttle shift? They were nice tractors. A little loud like the 471-481's, little shy on room for a big guy. Nice overall tractor, well built.

I vaguely recall seeing one at an auction a few years ago. It reminded me a lot of my 150, only a bit more "modern". (That's open to interpretation when you consider the 150 came about back in 1964) Anyway, they were good sturdy, fuel efficient chore tractors using time tested designs.
