Massey 2600h series vs Kioti RX series, overall size/class hard to figure

So I have zero experience...the local dealers have neither on the lot to see in person and it's hard to tell scale from pics unless they are side by side.

I'm very heavily leaning to a 2607h Massey, I know roughly the size is between the big compacts and the 4700s. The 4700 series is just too big for my property dimensions.

I'm weighing the Kioti RX6620 against it but I have no RXs around to compare to and I can't tell if the RX is 4700 size or more like the 2600h series.

Anyone have any idea?

I'm looking at open stations for either one.

These tractors are on my list because of their weight and their beefier loader specs for weight and HP. I will be doing utility work, property maintenance, woods/trail work and the loader arms will be getting a workout with a grapple for pushing and clearing and lifting. The space I have to work in is a big constraint as is my current storage option which is basically a car sized garage bay door that is 7' high x 8' wide.

The 2600h seems to have the most weight and power in the smallest (relatively) overall dimensions.

Kingsqueak,
The Kioti RX6620 is slightly larger than the 2607h Massey, but likely not enough to make a difference in use. The Kioti is definitely not as large as the 4700 series. The RX6620 wheelbase is 1" longer while the tractor is 5" longer. If you have a Kubota or John Deere dealer nearby the M6060/7060 and the 5000E series are also similar in size. (The Kubota has the same wheelbase as the Kioti and overall length as the Massey; The Deere has the same wheelbase as the Massey and is 4" longer - almost the same as the Kioti).

Once you start using the machine you would only notice the difference in length when trying to park. NOTE: Each tractor manufacturer's loaders are a little different, so the overall length with the loader installed might be the same on these models. You might have to shorten the exhaust, but the Massey will definitely fit in a 7' door with the ROPS folded down (Operating height with the ROPS up is 95"). The Kioti is taller at 106" with the ROPS up but I believe it will also fit with the ROPS folded down.

I have a Kubota M7040 which is the same size as these machines you are looking at and think you are making an excellent choice! My M7040 has the cast centers for the rear tires which offsets the ~1,000 lb difference in base weight. I do not have a grapple but have used it extensively in the woods and moved many large rocks with pallet forks. I think you will be happy with either machine.

Thanks.

I looked at the MX5800 and it was nice, though cramped. The ergos ran me off but also I did a ton of digging here in archives and almost universally people needed wheel weights, filled tires and a rear ballast box, so I figured the 2607 at 5800lbs without loader would put me ahead of that curve.

The Kioti RX was not in stock, neither an M5660 so I couldn't tell if they were as big as the MF4700 which was just too big for me. The 2607h is bigger than an MX but smaller than the MF4600 or 4700s.

My choice is overkill for most things but I don't tend to break as much when I buy heavy for tools vs going light. I also anticipate a lot more work for it over time as I expand my footprint.

Optional FEL lift is more or less proportional to tractor weight. As you move up in tractor weight, you move up in tractor FEL lift capability but also require more rear ballast and Three Point Hitch mounted counterbalance to keep the rear wheels on the ground during heavy FEL lifts. You have to compensate for diesel engine weight in the front, which combined with heavy FEL lifts makes the rear want to lift up, pivoting on the front axle.

Choosing a heavier tractor does not change the need for rear ballast and/or counterbalance more than a tad.

PLEASE, spend your hard earned money the way you wish.
