Custom Farmer,

Is the 3 pot SISU in the 4610 the same as the 3 pot in the 5600 series?

I'm asking because my experience with the 5609 3 cylinder does not mirror yours at all - aside from being a little anemic when cold. I've found the 3 cylinder SISU to be extremely quiet (much quieter than the JD 5425). It is also extremely smooth and I've never has an issue with it cranking while cold.

I think there may be some underlying issues with your tractor that may be related to the fueling issues.

No, they are not the same engine. Yours is built in Finland. Mine is built in China. (correct me if i'm wrong, it would say right on the side of the engine) Mine is model #AGCO Power 33 AWIC. Yours is model #AGCO Power 33 AWI.
Yours is rated at 10 hp less than mine.

As far as I know, all the fueling issues have been taken care of with mine.

The main difference that we are talking about is the cab. Yours is built in France. Mine is built in Japan. When I am outside the cab, the engine sounds nice. It is when I am inside that cheap cab that everything rattles and vibrates.

As far as starting in the cold - your thing says you are from SC. How many times did you try to start yours when it was below zero? I just put a block heater on mine. That helps a lot, if you remember to plug it in.

This year, its about 6 or 7 mornings with one day in the single digits, a couple in the teens, but most in the 20's - fahrenheit. If its below zero, I'm waiting a few hours before I go outside!

That's not the experience I've had at all with my Iseki-Japan built cab. Granted it does not have as much sound insulation as I've seen with other cabs but I'd hardly call it cheap. I've got no cab rattles at all... Only rattle on the tractor is one of the hard lines on the loader arms that vibrates around 1900 rpm.

obviously we don't have the same tractor ... Your cab just looks like a grown-up version of mine ... But they appear very similar.

I bought a 4610 cab 4wd with fel in july have put over 200hrs on it now it is used to pull disc mower and tedder as well as clip patures with a batwing mower also move and stack round bales, plant corn, pick corn, pull grinder mixer, and all kinds of general farm work the cab is a little noisy but it doesn't have rattles or vibrations and the noise doesn't seem to come from the motor but is more of a clutch chatter but only if it is in low range and really lug the engine down if the rpms are kept up it doesn't do it no problem in high range at all.I did install some sound deadening material called dynamat that helped a lot it also helps with keeping the cab cooler especially around the seat area where it is just bare painted metal that would let a lot of heat in the cab.im really happy with the tractor so far it has been a great improvement over the 481 massey that I traded in.It did throw one code the other day when it got 22 below zero which was low fuel pressure but after a little diesel 911 and pulling the battery cable to reset the computer it cleared right up.

Weve had our 4610 for a year now and ill tell you now we were completely disappointed. We had traded off a JD 6430 for this Massey Ferguson as the MF was a cheaper tractor and better on fuel ( so we hoped). A week into owning this machine we had already been left stranded on the side of the road hauling 28(to fertilize winter wheat) and the problems didnt stop there. The dealer had to come out over half a dozen times for random break downs. I would not recomend one we will be trading this machine off in the sping

Sorry to ear your bad experience.
But mine is complete opposite to yours...I have a 4608 since last January...a little over 200 hours on it.
Very happy and satisfied with it...would recommend it to anyone.
Working with the FEL is pleasant, compared to my previous 1455 compact.
Plenty of lifting power !
The only negative thing I would say, is that the transmission is pretty tight to shift, specially from 2nd to 3rd.

I have a 4610 and have had no real issues with, cab and loader as well. Picked up a little late last summer. Disc mowed, raked and square baled. Moved 1600lb+ round bales with loader and spear. Bales where 5x6, probably closer to 1800. I think it would run the Vermeer 605L baler but it was on the IH 826.

Dash lights don't work, will get that looked at. But other wise very good. Will put through paces this spring with disc, plow and Woods PSS84 seeder. May even pull a 4 row planter(3 pt 7000jD I think)
