I cant speak about how cheap the 3030e hood is but the hood i looked at on a 1025 acted like that and i looked at a couple.

That hood wasn't broken or abused! It is typical of how the plastic hoods move about when opening on all the JD units I have looked at including my old 755. It always gives me a feeling of cheep and flimsy and I never liked it from day one. One of the many reasons why I didn't go with JD this time around!

Hmmmmm maybe I'm just lucky. My hood doesn't flex nearly as much as the one in the video.
