Massey Ferguson 245
Sorry if this is not the right place but I really need some guidance. I have my dads massey and recently put a front end loader on it. The three point lift operates with no problems. However, I can not get the fel to work. I have removed the ts300 isolator/diverter and ensured the tube is properly seated but still no fluid is coming up through the tube. Before I start tearing into this I was hoping that someone could help shed some insight on where the problem might be at especially since the 3pt lift is functional. Any thoughts or useful insights would be extremely appreciated.

Are you trying it with both threepoint control levers in the full raise/constant pumping position?

Yes, the three point works but nothing else.

Thought about what you said and I went and took the diverter back off and ensured that everything was in the proper position like you suggested and I started getting good flow out of the tube. Problem is now once I put the inverter back on the flow becomes very restricted. It’s barley streaming out. I don’t see anything in the inverter visually that would cause this issue. They seem fairly simple, can they be rebuilt or should I just get a new one? It’s the ts300 inverter.

So this loader is "new" to the tractor. Are you aware that your tractor lift pump is only capable of about 4 GPM at high rpm and the only way to get oil flow to (or through) the diverter valve is with the draft lever in the up position and position control lever in constant pumping. As for flow out of the diverter ports, you should be able to determine which is which by applying compressed air to the standpipe port with the lever in various positions.

Yes the loader is new to the tractor. Yes I am aware and know that it will be slow, which I am ok with as It will suite my needs. Like I said the issue is the flow through the diverter is more like a very small trickle. Shouldn’t it be coming out with a little pressure?
