Massey Ferguson 254 4WD

Tractor shopping and found a well used MF 254 4WD with front end loader (quick detach) and over 3,000 hours dealer wants $9,500, good price??? any information on this model tractor, I know it had a short run in the 80's, Dealer says it was made by Landini (Italy?) with a Perkins engine, would parts be a problem, tried looking for a repair manual for this tractor with no luck

Anyone looking to buy one of these should go to their nearest Massey dealer and price the brake discs and actuator assemblies. Big $$$$$$$$'s! A 4WD with dry brakes is not the best setup.

I have never had a problem with mine.

I own one and I also own a MF 135 which shares the Perkins 152 Diesel, the 254 with the 4wd performs with much more power. Also the multipower is problem, and the 254 has all 12 speeds are available without it's use.
