I have a 2706e and it is the same way. I actually find it convenient when switching attachments. When using my quick hitch it is heavy enough to make arms drop quickly and easily for switching implements.

I was originally concerned about this yet, has actually not been an issue. I love my mf2705e as it is comfortable, powerful and looks good.
