Massey Ferguson 4608
The warning alarm starts when I start moving in forward or reverse and won't turn off until I put the tractor back in neutral. There are no warning lights on and I've tried pulling up on the brake pedal and clutch pedal. The E-brake is off. The PTO is off. Raising/lowering the front forks changes nothing. Raising/lowering the 3-point changes nothing.

I bought the tractor with 1,150 hours on it and have put about two hours on the tractor since buying it without incident. Yesterday, the warning alarm starting going off.

I'm coming up empty with my google searching. Any ideas from the experts in the group?

Thanks and have a great day!
Michael

On my MF 2605H, the alarm will sound if the tractor does not sense anyone in the operators seat. There may not be enough weight in the seat to trigger the switch. There is an adjustment on top of the backrest for the weight of the operator. With someone in the seat, adjust the knob until the two white arrows align. I need to adjust mine anytime my wife uses the tractor.

I was at the farm last night. The seat switch was laying on the tractor's floor. With the tractor in gear and moving and the switch manually pressed, the buzzer still sounded. A closer inspection of the wiring revealed some mouse damage on the switch's wiring. I cut and connected the two wires together.

BINGO, that was the problem!!!

Thanks for your advice, Walt P.

Have a great day!
