Massey Ferguson GC1705

Ok I gotcha now! They said they dont offer it from Massey. Its a outside dealer they have with them. They just install it. And theres is the QA to cut off factory mounts and weld on the new QA to the bucket. I am hoping to talk to him today with financing things.

Web,

I don't want to intrude on your decision making - but I personally would not want a quick attach that required modification of my bucket because that would mean I couldn't go back to the standard "pin on" process if I wanted or needed to in the future. It sounds like they would be "cutting off" the existing brackets on the bucket - and at least to me - that is just not a smart thing to be doing - nor is it an inexpensive thing to be doing. Lastly - I would want something that is designed for substantial use - and if there is cutting things off and welding things on - then its about quality of work done at the dealership - not at the manufacturers - and and and - somebody has to be accurately measuring and locating and positioning everything so it is balanced - and I'm not hearing that in your description.

Don't want to be negative - but I agree with DL Meisen - either you do it right or you do it somewhere else as far as the QA situation. I can only say that mytractortools.com has been doing it right for 10 years and doing it right specifically with the GC1700s with the DL95 front end loaders for 3 years - you don't want to be reinventing the wheel on this - just my opinion.

Rocket science this is not. Its a whole different story if you are inventing something for yourself - but this is not that.

Thanks! This is why I am asking all of you. With this being my first tractor and being new to this, I want everyone's opinion and suggestions. I dont want problems cause they did a half *** job.
Would I be losing any of my dump angle or curl if I did an adapter?

All I can tell you is on my quick attach, I don't have any loss of dump or curl angles. Now I can't answer for a skid steer quick attach.

My way weighs about 72 pounds so that reduce my total payload capacity by 72 pounds. However I wanted a way that was designed specifically for SCUT uses and work with attachments designed for SCUT uses. . . Like my fork set as an example which is lighter than many fork sets yet stronger specifically because it's designed from the ground up for scut weight efficiency..

Many people are led astray because they think a saw compatible unit has much greater access to implements. That is true but many of those implements are very heavy and get used on larger tractors as well.

Web, there is slot to buying and owning a tractor. The purchase is the very beginning of alot of learning.

Web,

Obviously for many customers - traveling to the manufacturer's site is not practical. However for those like yourself that live in the Wisconsin region and not that far from the home site - you might consider maybe trying to set up an appointment to go there and see numerous of the implement items in person.

1. Recognize that the home base for MyTractorTools.com is where the founder and designer lives and operates - its also a point of finished inventory and shipping.

2. There are several sub-locations in other parts of the state where specific parts of manufacture are done (laser cutting, farbrication/welding, sandblasing/priming/final painting). These are not visitor allowed.

3. Its quite impressive to see the various number of product choices and the quality that goes into material selection (steel choices) as well as the effort to make lightweight but long lasting durable product.

I don't know how many times per year or how often they allow visitors - but I'll guarantee you - the website still does not properly show the wide selection or product quality compared to the surprises on site. just a thought.

Has anyone switched the Rear Wheels on their GC1705 to increase width and stability on hills?

So i am purchasing my first compact tractor (GC 1705) in the morning and was wondering where the best place to get attachments are? Whats everyone have for FEL and 3 point attachments?

Shop around and dont bother with stealerships(escept for the FEL). They have a 30-40% markup fee and stock fees. I use a combination of places like Woodmaxx, Tractor Supply (TSC), Amazon, many offer free shipping. If your a veteran Woodmaxx offers a 10% discount.

Tractor Supply has very decent prices-I bought my LED lights, box blade and PTO auger from them.

What do you mean by switched?... Believe wheels are all the same, just different tires for different applications...

I am considering BRO-TEC wheel spacers though...

Not sure how much of a offset the rims have, on some flipping them around can add a inch or so to the stance, I will have to check that out tomorrow, of course your treads will be backwards if ya don’t flip the tire, turf tires would not matter.
