Does anyone know how Massey Fergusons came to be built in Iran?

It sounds like Iran is recieving knock down units (tractors that are partially dis assembled) from another facility, assembling them and shipping them out.

A lot of companies shipped tractors to Iran, they have a lot of Turkish models there. Most Iranians aren't kooks like their president and they need to grow food too.

Massey must be pretty big in the middle east.

I connected through Dubai UAE on a flight to Australia a couple weeks ago and they had quite a few MF's pulling luggage carts.

It was funny watching those guys drive those big Masseys. They looked to be utility tractors as opposed to Cut's and they were driving them like race cars. It looked like they were going to tip them over the way they took corners.
