Massey Ferguson tail wheel?

I've been given a 5 ft Massey Ferguson rotary mower. It seems the tail wheel has disappeared. Anyone have a source for a used one?

There is very little different between brands. If you take a few measurements and go to a tractor salvage you will be able to get one cheap.

TSC sells laminated tail wheels.. though i like the salvage yard idea.. never know what you may find.

Also.. and importatn note that other rotary mower operators can atest to. It's a pretty good chance that you lost the tail wheel while mowing.. chances are you will find where you lost it while mowing too!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

So if you are mowing one day and hear a loud explosion I check to see if any rubber and steel flies out from under the mower deck..

Thanks for the replies! I should have mentioned that the yoke is gone as well as the wheel. Agri-supply is near by and they have a good price on wheels, hubs, and axles. The yoke can be ordered from my local M-F dealer, but they sell for about $100. Add the cost of even a cheap wheel, hub and axle, and I have quite a few dollars invested in a "free" ( and on a long term loan ) rotary cutter. I've found that tail wheels and yokes seem to dissappear on all the cutters at salvage yards around here too /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

A piece of flat steel, bent and hammered on a form should make a nice yoke. Just need to weld it to a shaft ( pipe? ) that will fit inside the tube on the back of the mower, and then drop on a big washer and weld a nut or the washer to the pin to keep it from falling out. Now.. for an axle, use a bolt or rod of correct diameter for the tailwheel hub.. attatch as you like.. with drill the flat ends for a hole.. weld on heave washers as reciever rings, etc.. then you can add a locknut tot he bolt.. or if a pin.. weld some washers to the end.. ugle but workable. Incedentally.. if the cheap 'deep' south.. I've seen tail wheels cut from wood boards, or rough cut lumber, and then ran plain.. or even banded with a piece of rubber.. like old tire tread, that was tacked on... center of 'wood' wheel was sleaved with apiece of pipe for a bearing/bushing...
