Everything you do with an small compact you can do with a SCUT, it will just take you more time.
Not know your terrain and conditions, there is always the possibility of getting stuck on a root or big rock, but overall I think you will be able to pull a 48 inch BB.

Depending on the deal a SCUT and an Small Compact aren't too far apart when it comes to pricing.

Pretty sure I made another post, but it seems not to have shown up.

Another option is to look for an older tractor to do the grading, plowing, dragging and so on. They can be had for a few thousand dollars or so, but are likely to require turning a wrench more often. Then get something else for the mowing and such.

Do you think 15.8k for a massey gc1705 is a decent deal? That's fel, and mmm included

I'm almost sure you can get a GC1725M for around that same price and same with the LS MT125.

Ok, thanks everyone I appreciate the help. I'm leaning towards a small compact like the xj2025 and keeping my mower. Main reason I was going to get a mower deck was to be able to use the tractor more anyway.

For what it's worth, I am very very happy with my 1526. Its just big enough to perform FEL tasks well, ground engaging implements etc yet just light enough to mow without rutting everything up. If it ever needs replacing for whatever reason, it'd be a machine of the exact same size. I have 5 acres. Mostly grass. Cut with a 72" Frontier rear finish mower.
