I see, Fredartic-- you were talking about a rear-mounted blower. Mine is front -mounted, as others on this post, the #2360. It's powered by the mid-PTO through a driveshaft extension and a quick-hitch assembly that mounts to the front of the frame, after grille guard is removed. Because it has all this "extra" stuff it's a bit pricey, but I felt I did not want to be going backward all the time to blow snow off my lengthy driveway. Something you might wish to consider. I suspect the rear-mounted blower is similar in that the lift is hydraulic, but the actual drive is from the rear PTO output. Chute deflection on the 2360 is electric on mine as well; manual controls are available, but I'm glad I have the electric-- a bit slow, but far more convenient. Yes, when I attach the blower (after removing bucket) I also hook up two hydraulic lines for the blower lift control; it's also nice that the FEL hydraulic control has a float position, which works well for snowblowing; I don't know if the rear does or not, but I don't think so.
