None evidently, because the website nor the customer questions team (e-mail) are providing answers. Only asking for more information to get a dealer to contact me.
Some questions that I had:
What's the difference between the 72 month financing at 3.9%APR and the 60 month 0%APR financing, what minimum down payment is required, and are there other options. Those were/are my starting questions.
And as I stated in my last e-mail to the customer questions team - I have the number to my closest dealer. It will be more convenient for me to contact them if you can't provide the information.
Again, I didn't realize it was that difficult of a question/set of questions. I enjoyed the time talking to this particular dealer and I will contact him again.
Rick, With all due respect, it doesn't seem like you are aware that the sale of tractors (whether its Kubota or Massey) is a dealer based effort. In other words, you can't buy a product from the manufacturer. This is not unusual for many manufacturer's - but its especially true when it comes to geographic sensitive manufacturer's.
If you are asking product based questions, Massey or Kubota can answer them - but if you're asking the following:
1. Local/Regional availability of product
2. Financing arrangements or acceptability
3. Financing rates other than the 0% promotion
4. Pricing other than MSRP
Then they will always refer you to the dealer - every time - because that is what the dealer has to first determine and detail.
Let me give you an example. Its near the end of the month and you are on the edge of deciding or waiting to decide till May. The Dealer can tell you what all the financing plans/rates are for April - but they have NO CLUE what they will be in May until they receive a fax or email confirmation about May 2nd or so - its a highly guarded secret for some very important and specific reasons. Now if you commit on April 30th - you're good for April rates - but May 1 the rebates and any or all rates can change for better or worse. The only reasons you are guaranteed of a set situation from a current month to the next month is if you committed by the end of the month or if a special promotion exists that states the rebates or 0% rate are good to a specified date. This activity and method is true for Kubota and Massey and likely most other tractor brands.
Now you seem to think this is unusual. Yet if you were going to buy a GM vehicle even 25 years ago you had to go to GMAC thru a GM dealer to get rates and approvals - you couldn't go thru GM directly.
Now you asked what the difference is between a 0% 60 month or a 72 month 3.99% rate. The difference as any dealer could tell you is approval requirements of the applicant are different for the multiple financing options AND with the 0% you don't get any rebate - but with all the other rates, you get the promotional rebate.
And downpayments? Again that's based on your financing application quality which is processed and submitted thru the dealer.
Like company brochures of the different brands - every brand has better ones and not so good ones - and websites are similar.
What you are fortunate to have that buyers like myself didn't have - in early 2015 yet - there weren't a lot of Massey subcompact posts on TBN and there is now a storehouse of info on TBN for Massey GC products and issues on TBN which really started flowing and increasing in May of 2015 on the Massey Forum's here and in reviews on other sites. In addition, AGCO started using its marketing muscle and influence with its many dealers who carried their other AGCO lines but were not carrying Massey tractors. So in model year 2013 numerous new dealers that were Kubota or other brands of dealers or Massey implements, also started carrying Massey GC1700 series late in 2013/early 2014 as an example. By early/mid 2015 they were in the thick learning and responding to interest in the GC product as an example

In our area we have numerous dealers who had been just Kubota etc. who now also have Massey. Some started really slow and others blossomed quickly. My dealer as an example is full line scut and cut Massey and full line Kubota - most all of the models are indoors displayed of each and the balance on the lot. They've sold Massey for quite a period of time as well as Kubota since the beginning. They have a couple dozen service techs cross trained on both brands plus other implement brands too.
And dealers can fax or email you the financing rates and rebates available for the current month - but till you actually apply and they send in the app - they can't tell you which ones you qualify for - which is exactly why any of the tractor websites want you to be in contact with an authorized dealer (or multiple dealers).
