Try the search function, there have been mattracks posts over the years. I suspect the $$$ keeps them pretty unique.

let me guess

front tracks flip backwards when hitting a vertical obstacle of 4" or higher
spindle breakage usually in the mud where its hard to set a jack
spindle nuts backing off dropping a track off and breaking stuff (3X on this one)
was told to tighten nuts each time i used it... this requires removing and replacing about 40 allen head cap screws. ya right.
bearings rusting
linkages bending
tracks falling off
siezing of cam which prevents track tension adjustment
probably more that i have forgotten about.

think of them like a helicopter for every hour of use plan an hour of maintenance.

that cover it?

they are very good at sending out repair parts though........

I have a set of mattracks on a 1100 rtv. They are on the machine full time. The only problem I have had with these tracks and the tracks on my other machines is that I have to change all the bearing on all the tracks at least one time a year (they are operated in water when the tracks are installed on the rtv ) I also change the axle beraring every year. I have been using mattracks on rtv 900 and 1100 for at least 4 years.

I have also had overheating problems with the full time track 1100 which might have been caused by the tracks but I also have had the same heat problem with another 1100 that was not equipped with tracks on it all the time . I now have aux raditor cooler on both 1100 rtv and I am not having a problem with heat on either of them at this time.

Lately I am having trouble with the 1100 with tracks stripping the rear axle wheel spindle. This only stated after about 2.2 years of use. It is possible that we failed to replace the rear axle lock washer while we were replacing the bearing. No problems with front sp

What problems are you having.

had every problem the other guy listed prior. plus the rubber tracks are wearing from the inside out and beginning to tear apart. also the main aluminum housing is weearing where the pins go thru, they say lack of grease but it does get greased prior to every use.

I have had the mattracks system for over 7 years. I will not say that i havent had problems, but it did take me a year to learn how to use them and set them up. They are a pain on maintnance but its part of the machine and just as critical. adjustment is verry important. if you still have problems, contact me andi can pretty much help you over the phone. i do all my repairs and service.
