MAX 22 No Start or Starts and dies

Solenoid fixed it.

Hey, thanks for the post. I was out on my max22 on Saturday, stopped at the shed to refuel and would not restart. Exact same symptoms. Limped it back to the garage 10 feet at a time. Pulled the instrument console and checked wiring. Everything looked ok. Fuses are good, all lights work. Will try the solenoid next. Do you by any chance have the part number for the solenoid?

We went years and years and years with zero stop solenoid issues, but have had a handful of them at our dealership this year and see similar reports here on TBN. Must've been a bad batch of these or something. Fortunately it is an easy fix. Ask the dealer if it is still under warranty.

No. Dealer fixed it for free.

I pulled the solenoid and bench tested it. It is definitely bad. It pulls but will not hold. I contacted my dealer but, I think that is a dead end. They told me it is out of warranty, I asked them for a copy of the electrical schematic and never heard back from them. I tried contacting Mahindra corporate to see if they will replace it under warranty and the last I heard they were looking into it. I am hoping that whey will replace it. It is out of warranty, but not by a lot, and it has had a very easy life. Since there appears to have been a bad run of these I'm hopeful.

After years and years of zero failures, we have seen a number of these fail in the last couple of years. You may be right that a bad batch was produced. I have not seen any of the replacements fail, so that is good. It's hard to say if MUSA would "goodwill" this, but I hope they do it for you. It is always worth asking.
