Daves Tractor, thanks for the explanation. I actually thought about taking that brace off and cutting a half moon out of it so the pulley would have clearance but did not want to void any warranties. I believe it would still be plenty strong enough though. In actuality there just isn't enough height adjustment for the MMM on the max 28 anyway! Still a great tractor for most jobs.
Dave

Dave, I can understand your temptation to trim the brace. I can't officially encourage that, but it seems like you have the option of a stop of some sort, or creating space for the pulley. If you do decide to cut the brace, you might just ask your dealer for his "blessing". He would probably need to check with the service rep, etc. Dave

Thanks! I am a bit concerned now. Not sure I have all of the skill that many of you have re: tweaking and fixing various aspects of this new tractor. I do not want to mess it up in any way.
Your 25 will not have any clearance issues. Even the 26/28 has no clearance issues unless the mower gets high centered. So don't worry. You might check the loader brace on your 25 just to be certain, but I haven't seen one installed backwards in a long time.

Thanks for all the replies everyone! Still haven't pulled the trigger on a tractor yet, but will by this fall. Any updates about snow removal? Will just a FE plow be enough for my driveway? FE snowblowers are spendy, and with a stiff back, a 3PT blower won't work for me.
