Max22 3 point hitch question

Do the small eMAX 22 and 25 tractors allow you to maintain downward force on the 3 point hitch? Example my old Chalmers 620 allowed me to move the hitch down and I could float it or hold it at a position applying pressure on the blade or rake behind it.. It could lift the back of the tractor and it would maintain the height even if I took my hand off the controls. Can the Mahindras do this too?

No. It floats.

AFAIK, there are no currently manufactured tractors that do this (with the possible exception of the toolcat).

Deere has 3Pt Downforce as an option, but not sure which models.

I was thinking it was an option starting on the 4000 series Deere's.

But it's not a common thing to find. All of older tractors that had down force, weren't originally 3ph. They were ih fast hitch, Ac snap couplers, etc that were converted.

What is the job/task that you feel you need down force for?

Don't specifically need it but it was a nice feature on my old 1970's 620 Allis Chalmers. I used it all the time...it made leveling dirt much easier and faster and a floating blade or York rake. You don't realize the benefit it provides unless you actually have it and compared it to a floating system. I don't know if position control will give the same results.

If you actually use a heavy blade made for more than just moving already loosened dirt, it should have no issues cutting and digging in enough to bring the tractor to a stop if you let it.

Down pressure helps the short comings of a light duty blade, but usually results in a bent up blade.

It's all about the proper tool for the job. IMO, down pressure would just mask the real issue in most cases.
