Maxtor One-Touch II, are they worth the investment

/ Maxtor One-Touch II, are they worth the investment #31
Last Month, I ordered a western digital 250gig external hard drive. Think it was about $150. Used the software with it to do a backup. Was painless.

I need to do an update with changes now. The first time took some time; next ones should be faster.

Kevin we were able to take the Maxtor to each processor and do a quick back-up of each hard-drive. Unfortunately the software that comes with Maxtor doesn't support client machines.

So at the Dantz web site I downloaded the trial version of Retrospect version 7, and today with the help of TBN member JASTN70D were finally able to get the Maxtor to back up the other clients via the network without moving the external drive. Very cool, and I'm now pleased and at peace that all is once again backed up., amen..... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Yes I would recommend a Maxtor One-Touch.
