Maybe ROPS, Seatbelts, and Seat Safety Switches Not Such A Bad Thing

People has been hurt with the ROP and no seat belt. So I agree on being held down in the seat. Well known Esp. from the Mtns I'm Org from. Your held in the seat but you also can remove it and stand up also if need be.

Pretty clap[ped out tractor as well and must be in Europe somewhere...

Tractor looks like a Zetor, a Chech, from somewhere the beginning of the 90s. In Turkey, according to the text. People in those countries have different worries regarding on which to spend their trickle of income.

I will say when it stuffed itself into the tree, it was blowing some serious smoke...

This one just happened this morning. Not a single injury as the ROPS was up as it should be.

Looks like a Kubota L2-552 pulling a trailer loaded with gravel that jackknifed on that downhill turn and ended up on its side.

Just a wild guess here, but the hydraulic trailer brakes may have never been connected to the either the remotes or the hydraulic brake valve (if fitted with one) on the tractor, which would have most likely prevented this situation.

Another possibility was not having both brake pedals locked together.

Sure looks to be a odd location for the ROP.. No doubt they worked but the use of it doesn't sound very typical either. Farm etc.. On the rd. incline pulling a trailer speeding couldn't stop On and On. Lucky the driver didn't get it UTDA.... roll over!

It a mid mounted ROPS. A must have when you have to work in orchards and vineyards. The way it folds, makes for a much lower profile than a rear mounted ROPS allows too.

Easier to raise and lower was my thinking. The odd location.

How the ROP is mounted like a FEL. no doubt impressive safety and operation choice. JS..
