mc connel s back hoe attachment

hi all i am new here although i registered a while back
i live in ireland and have a fordson dexta tractor
it is a 1963 a around 40 hp a
great little work horse, i have just aquired a mc connel
back hoe attachment which is 1967 S model made in uk mid 60s its abit on the heavey side
for the dexta when moving it around but it can lift it with no bother
i would like to know the weight of the back hoe if anyone knows

I would guess around 15cwt or so?
I have a 1960's Twose backhoe in use on my 70's Universal 445DT (which is around Dexta/135 size, though with extra weight up front due to the 4WD) & it handles it fine. Come to think of it I also have a loader on the front as well, which must weigh at least what the backhoe does.
Maybe have a look for some front weights for the Dexta?

thanks for your replys, i think around 15cwt sounds about right
ihave been useing it this past week now and am just getting used
to it. the dexta lifts it no problem an it is very stable when digging
probley due to the very heavy pads on the legs,ihave learned to drive
very slowly when in the feilds and to take wide turns any gradients to reverse
up always weary of lifting the nose , ihave got 2 heavey weights on front now about 1cwt /50kgs each which make a big differance. :thumbsup:
