Hi Everybody,

I recently did some testing with McAfee Site Advisor and found that the service is giving false warnings on any thread you click on that has unread posts in it. Basically, here are two links:

Buying Advice Kubota L3800 vs Mahindra 3616 - Page 5

http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...s/253565-kubota-l3800-vs-mahindra-3616-a.html

They link to the same thread, but the first link gives a warning. Since the site advisor plugin doesn't provide any specifics on why they're marking the page as potentially dangerous, I'm a little puzzled. The actual McAfee site review of that page says everything is green and as I've mentioned in previous threads, the pages are free of malware.

One thing you can do is add TractorByNet.com - Compact Tractor Forum to your trusted sites list within McAfee site advisor (click on the shield, then options, then trusted sites).

I'm going to continue to investigate and contact McAfee if necessary to figure out why they're showing false alarms on our forum pages.

I still get blocked at work through the filtering system when I click on any thread, new posts or not. No warnings here at the house with Mcafee.

Actually it is just new post threads, I am at work now and can read this thread but none that have new posts. The filter system reports 'malicious sites' as the reason when blocking access to a thread with new posts.

In my case McAfee at home doesn't give me any problems. It is at work with whatever filtering software they use on the internet firewalls.

It is interesting that I got out of this thread, saw there was a new post but could not click on the link to get in here. Using my back button I was able to come back to this thread and see the new post just fine. So something with the way the links are processed/handled when there are new posts? Is there some re-direct or something going on for one of the ads before it displays the actual thread? I am having the same trouble as others have reported with the back button being full of ad links:

http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/page

I do not see that happening at home. Using Explorer 8.0.6001 here at work.

I never had this problem until they up-dated this site.

Thank you Muhammad for posting and letting us know. I was going crazy at work since we use McAfee and I was getting blocked, too. Glad it's not just me...

Edit...PS, I thought they were onto me...Ha!

I have contacted McAfee's technical support department in hopes of getting some answers on this. We'll get to the bottom of it. There's probably something in our code that they don't like.
