Rumor I got was that were being manufactured in the old IH factory in England. Are you from New York? I was under the impression that NY was the only place you could buy them domestically. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

They are on sale here in ky, or so I have been told. I haven't been to a dealer in several months.

They've been available in SD for a while. I looked at some different models in August at a farm show.

There is a dealer here in north Alabama that handles McCormick but so far they haven't had any of the compacts. Attached is a picture of one I saw at the Louisville Farm show.

They have them by the dozen at Schoeperkoeter (don't know about spelling) in Mt. Sterling MO. Fine looking tractor IMO

I neglected to state that I saw the Macs in Faribault, Minnesota. they were utility types some with cabs some not. The first in line wore the number "Y70" and had no cab. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

They most likely build these in more than one location. But I know you can drive past the Vermeer plant in Pella, IA and look at alot of different models!

I bought a GXH 45 last July. Plenty of power for what I need it for. The GX/GXH 's are made in Italy by the Landini Company.for McCormick.

Landini owns McCormick, Vermeer is the USA distribution for McCormick. The two companies are not connected. And the are sold country wide as lond as they found a dealer in your area.

After negotiations with various interested parties, the plant is purchased by “ARGO S.p.a” of Italy and it is announced that the Doncaster plant will become the global headquarters for McCORMICK TRACTORS INTERNATIONAL LTD.

Products from Doncaster will be sold world wide under the McCORMICK brand name.

Other sister companies under the ARGO name are:-
LANDINI
LAVERDA
VALPADANA
PEGORARO

Will be taking delivery of a new McCormick GX 50 hopefully by the end of this week. Just waiting for 84" bush hog RFM to arrive before we take delivery. I will be sure to post some pics ASAP.

Anyone using these yet? Pella IA is less than 2 hours from my place. I'm also looking at the Centry/Branson line but I'm wondering how people at liking the GX McCormick

dave,

I guess you haven't heard that the new mccormick compact tractors are total crap. What a great way to waste perfectly good money! They are having all sorts of problems with them, especially the plasticy parts.
