McDonalds.....Don't Eat the Food!

My wife and I eat out too much...
It is hard to control weight because of that...
The biggest culprit in all of this is sodium...
1500 to 2000 mg per day of salt is the recommended around from health officials...
Anything processed or in a can will shoot that number through the roof...
I am now weaning off of diet drinks...
They have lots of sodium in them...
I think back to 50 years ago my grandpaw and mamaw ate 3 meals a day all prepared from the kitchen...
They lived to ripe old age and did not take a lot of medicine...
Now everyone is on blood pressure pills, cholesterol pills, arthritis pills, etc...
Our food supply and convenience is killing us...

err... only if you buy the diet drinks loaded with sodium.

you can SURELY buy diet / calorie free / reduced calorie / low sugar / no sugar soda with low / no sodium, if you exercise your arm for a few seconds and read more than the 1st can you pick up.

for instance.. just as an example. the diet rite n front of me has no sodium.. if i looked in my pantry, the 4-5 different brands of diet soda i have. I bet the highest one will be 35mg per serving which is considered low, while most of them will be 0 sodium. ( diet sprite has 35, diet 7up has 30 .. yes.. I know these off hand as I'm pretty health conscious and keep up on the ingredients I ingest, sodium being an important one to track ) ( d7upcherry has 45 and coke 0 40.. I usually won't drink anything over 35, as that is pretty much the break point of what is considered low sodium.. fuze diet tea has a big 50 in it.. etc. got to read the labels )

I thought that you were gonna point me in the direction of water Soundguy...LOL
The best tasting diet drink that I like is Sunkist Orange Diet and it is loaded with sodium...
I've been doing Diet Mt. Dew recently...
I just drink too many of the darn things so that is why I am making a concerted effort to go with coffee, tea, or water...

. . . and the beat goes on . . . but the ejection fraction is a bit lower.:D

18.5g saturated fat
75mg cholesterol
1365mg sodium

(note: Their hamburgers and premium coffees (creamers) still have trans-fats.)

That's why they taste so good.
Exactly

. .and taste trumps health all the time. Thats why America is the healthiest country in the world!:ashamed:

but if you happen to get sick, don't worry be happy, the government gives out free pills to make you all better!:dance1:

and if the pills don't help, they can insert these little straws in your heart and you are good to go for another 50K miles!:cool2:

coffee tea and water are good. i drink plenty of those. And yeah. sometimes the yummier foods are worse for us. I used to like diet mountain dew.. but it is LOADED with sodium.. thus I have switched to 0 to 35mg max. most of the diet rites are 0 sodium...
