Oh BTW-There are some design features on the 2200 that are very robust: the tractor engine, the tractor rear end, the hydraulic bed Ram. The tech at the tractor shop is a UTV nut and owns a few Rhinos-has for years. He explained how the Kioti build was very tough and had spyder gears in the rear end. The Yamaha UTV's don't; so it limits what you can do before breaking an axle. No worries snapping a tight turn on pavement or dirt with the 2200 though. That is what he said anyways. I have not really compared the various machines toe-to-toe; since I chose the Kioti 2200 because of the brand, utility and dealer support.
Also-the bed holds and can dump 1,100 Lbs. Made of steel all the way around. No plastic here at all! Guessing for now that it could handle a full bed of soil. The dump mechanism is simple and had a float detent feature that eases the bed down automatically at a slow speed. I think that 1100 Lbs is a very good capacity to have. It is wider too than other UTV's. The 2200 has a wide frame and wheelbase. So it is stable. The available Off Road tires I chose are USA made 6-ply rated Tires. Nice touch.
So far it seems about right as far as utility goes. I don't get to drive it much. My wife likes it for her yard work and patrolling the fence line. Shifts just fine. Get up and go is very good and the ride is smooth over fairly uneven ground. Even takes washboard dirt roads OK. The suspension is adjustable and it comes with spanner wrench to tweak the shocks if needed.
has two cup holders, a glove compartment, and a little open cubby in the dash and a 12 volt receptacle on the dash.
I sure liked the new Deere models. For myself, I might want more of a ride like those-faster, meaner & Greener looking. But for the wife to run around the property doing cleanup and landscaping, not worring about top speed (Tops out around 30 MPH) for tipping safety and ruggedness and ease of use-good comfy bench seats-this Mechron is a nice machine.
