I purchase a medication in Canada for $291.00 for two months worth, it costs $9000 a month if I buy it here..

For those who are VA eligible, cost is $8 per month per prescription.

We use Silverscript which is owned by CVS but we fill at Walmart because we used Walmart before we went on the Silverscript. Anyway, for the most part our scripts have been reasonable save for my wife's. She has reflux and the Omeprazole does not agree with her. She has good results with Dexilant which is a time release but there is no generic. The co-pay is like 40 something for 30 pills, good grief! I will have to check with Sam's on this pill. Thanks for the heads up!

Still, 40 something is a lot better than some of these costs others have mentioned.

The problem is some of us go into the catastrophic prescription drug coverage gap within 30 days on Silver Script or any and all of the medication plans.. Canadian pharmacies have been a lifesaver for me..

Go onto dexilants website. They have a coupon you can download for copay assistance. One download and the coupons good every month. Just give it to the pharmacy and they can use the same one monthly. :)

My doctor put me on that originally when I was borderline having a an ulcer. He was also the one to tell me about the coupon. I've since switched to omeprazole.

Funny thing is, the omeprazole is actually more expensive then dexilant. But because dexilant is name brand, insurance will ask more for the copay.
