Life will never be the same at BAR-BOB Ranch. Our Painted Deserts are quickly adjusting to new home with lots of space and freedom. We still don't know what we are doing, but we are learning

Ok I'll ask , What are they for ? Milk or just as pets... They can be cute animals :) My wife has mentioned she would like to have some when we retire and move to SC for the milk they give...

You probably don't have to know too much for them to be happy other than that , If you want to be happy keep them away from anything you care about because they will either eat it or jump up on it...including cars

Good Luck with them ;)

"What are they for?"

1. Mini bush hogs to help increace my availabe "project" time.
2. Give Head Honcho a hobby
3. Help keep weeds down so when neighbors run out of pasture they can use ours
4. Something else to watch and enjoy
5. Just doing our part to help stimulate the economy by spending $

You need to move that #5 to #1, 'cause it's the one you will do the most of.;)

Feed supplements...
Fences and sheds...
Worming...
Animal babysitters...
Vet bills...

We have three goats we would like to donate, but you'll have to take our useless donkey too.:D The sheep will keep the grass trimmed and the goats will keep your trees trimmed. The donkey will make lots of noise, bite everything, and generally be obnoxious. He'll reward all your good deeds with piles of poop. Deal or no deal?

Congratulations.

They are nice looking sheep. I've been thinking of getting a few myself when I get my fencing done, but that's after I finish clearing my land. I like the look of hair sheep and would really love to have a nice ram to see from time to time wondering around with a few ewes.

You've gone and done it now. There is no stopping you know. Be prepared for the add ons like more sheep, dog, why not a pig or two, maybe a few chickens for egs........heck farming is fun.

Watch them around the fences, night tie a bit of white cloth strips to the top in a few places for awhile until they learn were it is.
