Melro Bobcat M600 Hyd Fluid?

Is it still the recomended fluid for m600 bobcats to have ATF fluid in them or has something else come up better??

Here is an interesting fact about ATF. A distant relative of mine hauled bulk oils and at the time some years back this was accurate. He picked up the Clear tranny fluid at the tank farm and hauled it to the packaging company where it had the Red added and was put into bottles jugs etc.
Ford and Gm have a little twist on the formula but I do not know that one.

That is quite interesting.....I'm sure there is quite afew products and things in this country that the same thing applies, (changing things around a bit or adding something here and there to different things) with the same products and charging more..

When i first bought my M600 it had been sitting for 3 years, i checked the oil which looked clear/red like it should so i ran it for a month or so, it ran fine. i was given 50 litres of Mobil DTE 25 Hydraulic fluid and when i drained the original oil it came out like chocolate milk!!! With the new oil it ran fine as well, what im saying is it doesnt seem to matter what type of oil is in it as long as it is of good quality.
