Members online

Would it be possible for an alphabetical listing of members when they are online.
This would allow a quick check to see if someone you know or correspond with is online

If you use the iPhone app, you can find a alpha list of who is online. It's under "more", then "online".

Since I use the iPhone 99% of the time, I am not as familiar with the website - but I sure couldn't find a way. I thought there would have been a search function under the members list....

Maybe someone else can help.

Funny you should say that. We have had the silly home phone for 25 years, thing costs $89 month, I seldom use it anymore. Almost to the point of taking the number and porting it over to a cell phone.

I will stay with the landline it seldom drops out , nearly always has service and it will not give me a brain tumour
I do have a mobile and it is lucky if it gets turned on once a month :thumbsup:

In the bottom left corner under your name and avatar, there is a caution triangle, and a circle next to it. If the circle has a green light, that person is online. You can also look at their profile, and it will tell you what part of the forum they are looking at.

I have a tracfone that I hardly ever seem to turn on.

Well I didn't buy the tracfone. My mom got it for me for my birthday. She pays for the minutes on it too. So I took it and use when I need too.

Got a $20.00 , 365 day plan and it generally runs out before I use the credit.


With regard to NHmitch comments , yep was aware of the green dot etc however you would have to scroll all posts looking for some one in particular , however if the list at the end of the main index was alphabetical it would only take a quick look.
Look now and you will see all members logged on but see how long it would take to find a some ones name

Thats a good point, and I think that it would be nice. I also kind of wish they would add instant messaging so you can ask someone a question live, if you know that they are online. Anyways, good idea!

Isn't the private message feature the same thing ( for all practical purposes) as IM? Of course I am using an iPhone. But when I get a PM, I have an alert feature that shows I just got a PM.

I think that they are more like an email, and when I access TBN from my ipad I know what you mean, but from my Mac, there is no alert. I was thinking more like IM, but i'm not sure if thats what it was supposed to be?

Well I think both are good ideas. I would suggest sending Muhammad a PM asking him to consider adding those features. He has told me in the past that he doesn't have control over the iPhone app, other than offering suggestions. But I do believe they can tweak the forum site. Since this is your party - Mr OP, you can have the honors if you like
