Hi Gary,
I copied this old post of mine about my wife and a tractor purchase. Her father trained her well and I thank him ever day.

This city boy got lucky when I met my farmer's daughter.
This may have been posted before but here goes. When we moved to land more fitting for my wife, right in the middle of some large farms, we needed a tractor. I spent months reading and learning about compact tractors. The visits and test drives were done and I had picked out the tractor I thought was a good fit. All my wife asked was that she be able drive it before the purchase. The 4300 that I had picked out was a hard unit to find on any of the lots in our area. So when a salesman called to tell us they had one on the lot, we headed over for a little test drive.
We were also on our way out for the evening so Jane was dressed up heels and all. She got some strange looks from the two salesman in the yard when she climbed onto the tractor and started it up, ran it around the yard and even dug into a dirt pile with the FEL. Satisfied that I had the right tractor, she climbed down and told me it was just perfect.
As we thanked the salesman and headed to our car, a young man called from the service area door and asked if we had any daughters at home. That is when we realized that five of the techs were watching my farm girl put the tractor to the test.
