Yes, you could say I had a problem. I was stuck in Detroit for seven hours with six courtside tickets in my pocket and five very unhappy college buddies waiting for me in Syracuse. Northwest Airlines played the same game all day. Delay, delay, delay then cancel the flight because there were only a few passengers. Of course, they didn't admit that. In talking with other passengers, however, I was told this happened every Sunday until they had enough people to make the flight profitable. They pulled this on four flights and I missed the game (as did my friends since I had the tickets) and I ended up just coming back home. /w3tcompact/icons/mad.gif

I no longer have a problem with Northwest because I simply refuse to even consider using them ever again.

This new line of implements is quite interesting and I can't wait to see how it pans out. I'm going to repeat part of what I said in another post. First Choice might give KingKutter a run for their money - IF they have competitive prices. But, I haven't seen a price yet in any of the posts on First Choice, so I have a feeling they're going to be higher than many of us are expecting and hoping for. If I hadn't already bought my bush hog and was in the market for one I would surely be looking at the First Choice mowers - if I could find one. It's going to be tough for First Choice to compete with KingKutter because of KingKutter's availability at TSC.

If I would have realized what the EXPO in Louisville was all about, I might have made more of an effort to go there since it's only 70 miles south of me (although it would have been tough this year because I was sick and my wife was real sick, so I needed to stay home and look after her and the kids). I didn't realize it would have tractor implements. For some reason I thought it was just the smaller stuff, like riding lawn mowers, garden tillers, etc. I'll have to be sure and plan for it next year! Is it always in mid July? Do they have compact diesel tractors there also? If so, are all of the major dealers represented? Is there a fee to get in?

I would really like to talk to some folks at KingKutter face to face and ask them questions like "Why don't you mount the hitch pins lower on your bush hog, or at least have the holes drilled moving them lower? Same question would apply to First Choice.

Danny:
I am in the situation that you are describing. I have a KK that I just bought and have assembled. I have not used it yet because FC has come on the scene. I called them today and they state that they are not going to be able to ship for another week or 2. I am waiting on a call back from them. If I knew that they were lets say 100-200 more I would consider taking back the KK and waiting for a FC. If they are going to be $1000, I will live with the KK and get busy. The KK seems like it is OK for the money, just very crude, and with a little polish on their KK's part they would have an outstanding product.

Mosey,
It was more of a lawn and garden/lanscapers expo. But there were some tractors there.
Mahindra
Massey
New Holland
Power Trac
just to name a few.
There was a fee if you did not pre-register ($25)
I saw the KK units and the FC units. FC won hands down.

Thanks Jerry, I'll have to be sure and pre-register, $25 is too much! I sure hope it's cooler next year than it was this year (fat chance though!). I could drop my wife and kids off at Kentucky Kingdom (or if it's hot I drop them off at the River Falls Mall in Clarksville where they have a small indoor amusement park) and head to the EXPO! I don't doubt FC is better quality than KK, I'm just curious about the FC prices to see if they are enough better to be worth the extra money (ie, which one is the better value?).

Is there a registration/pre-registration option for the London, Ohio show in September? How/where would I learn more about that one?

Hi John,
Can you tell me the dates of the Empire Farm Expo in Syracuse, N.Y. this August? Is it at the fairgrounds? I live in Cortland and I plan on attending this year for sure. Missed it the last few years. Would be nice if First Choice could have a display of their products at the Syracuse show.
