BTW, if a tractor if this age continues to run/work OK with only rare/occasional/minor glitches, I'd leave things alone. A pre-emptive teardown might only make sense if you have the time/interest and there is some evidence of where to look and what to look for. Otherwise it could be a needle (ring?) in a haystack and you might cause more problems than you would fix.

Yeah, I almost have it back together. Replaced the main wiring harness and some other minor work. Picking up some LED lights to mount to the tractor as well. Then I'll fire it up and see what happens. I think I'll take mcfarmall's and s219's advice and wait. If she taps out I will have to get at it, or sign the papers for something new(er). I appreciate everyone's input.
