Method for bending past 90 deg?

If you have to bend all the way around, at angles with small stock, a magnabend is what you need. Unless you build a special bender.

It wouldn't be too hard to make a die or "bender" out of angle iron with a section welded to complete the triangle to form on or just flats, welded together for your project.

Weld end caps on the end of the form for the pivot or just tack the part to it and hammer around.

For just a few parts you don't need to get too fancy.

The shop I work at just uses different dies to bend past 90 degrees.

I read the OP's post as he was making triangles or needed to bend completely around something to make the part.

If all he's needs is a "V" any finger brake will work. As they can bend metal to 180.

They say a photo is worth 1000 words, so I found a drop of 1/8" plate and made the first bend on my finger brake. Came out at 135 deg on the first bend, remove lower the fingers back down and drop the arm again and your at 180.
