Metric grease zerks

They make a tool for cleaning zerks.. basically you load it with heavy oil, and then whack it with a hammer.. it forces oil thru the zerk. I've used one exactly 2 times.. it worked 1 of those times... It's easier for me to just replace the zerk.. as long as it is threaded.. and not an elcheapo drive-in type

If you have access to a phenumatic grease gun try that. It creates alot more preasure than a normal hand operated one and will often purge out the blockage.

Is that right? I have never heard that pneumatic guns apply any more
pressure to the grease. A lever-actuated gun should easily apply well over
1000 psi.

While certainly not the definitive answer, if you ever go looking for the extension hose for the powered grease guns, you will find that most hoses you find are rated for "hand operated grease guns only" and the ones rated for pnuematic or powered grease gun's have a higher pressure hose.

My Graco grease pumps put out around 7,500 PSI. Your lucky if you can get 1,000 PSI out of a hand operated one.
