Hello, I have a a MF 12 bailer which we ran about 400 bales through over the last 2 days. The longer we baled the more it began to have bales stuck together. Its always on the in board side and it would be about a 3" diameter tuft of hay still connected to the previous bale. It really became a pain having to jerk and yank to separate the bales. What should I look for to remedy this? Other than this issue the bailer has worked perfect.
Thanks-jon.

Sharpen the plunger and bale case knife and reregister them (they are probably too far apart to cleanly cut each flake).

Thanks. I did notice there is a gap between the blades as they pass each other. How much of a gap if any should there be and how do I adjust it?
Thanks! Jon.

Just to close out this thread, there are 6 bolts down the out board side of the chute that thread in and push the plunger unit over. By tightening it moves the plunger blade over reducing clearance between it and the stationary blade. On mine the last two bolts had broken loose from where the nut was welded to the side of the chute. The result was the chute moving over and allowing about 1/2" between the blades. Any way maybe this will help a future search.

I don't have a baler --probably never will:laughing::laughing:-- but thanks very much for the clear follow-up & diagnosis. That's how we all learn!

I trust your baler is now working well.

1/16" or so on my MF124 baler. Adjusted by thin metal shims between the knives and the plunger and the bale case.
