MF 135 and a haybine

Hey guys I was just looking at haybines and was wondering if the 135 would run a 9 foot haybine? The little Massey has no issue on a 6 foot bushhog. It was going through pretty heavy hay and 6 foot tall burdock and thistles.

My 1964 MF135 diesel has 37 hp at the pto-- a bit low for a 9-ft haybine.

I run both a Hesston PT10 and a NH 469 with my 135 diesel with no problems whatsoever on my rolling acreage with some decent hills

I've pulled a 479 Haybine with my Ford 3000 and a MF135 shouldn't be a problem:thumbsup:

Musta missed this thread when it was first posted....

At any rate, I have a 489 NH moco....Pull it with a Massey 150, same engine/drive train as a 135. Only real difference is the 150 is a few hundred pounds heavier. Pulls just fine, even on hills.

Well thanks for the feed back guys. I was looking on some of the name brand sites and CIH rate theirs for about 35 horsepower minimum. New Holland seems to rate theirs a little higher.
