I'm trying to gain access to my 135 steering box and to do this the drop arms need to be removed. The problem I'm facing is that I've tried both a gear puller and bearing puller to try to remove the drop arms from the shaft connecting them to the steering box. The gear puller ended up slipping off multiple times and the bearing puller ended up bending because I was putting that much force into trying to pull the drop arms off. I've also tried heating the arms and shaft up with a propane gas torch and then tried to pull and knock the arms off with the bearing puller, gear puller and hammer but still no success. Followed the instructions in the workshop manual but maybe something's still holing them on can't see anything that would be doing this though. Any help or knowledge on how to get these arms off would really be great.
