hi, is there any easy way to remove the cross shaft from a mf 135 lift cover.the conrod fell out of the ram due to wear on the ram which is splined on the shaft.any ideas please

To get the best advice and because there are design variations within the MF 135 line, it's helpful to provide as much tractor model data as you can (serial number is also helpful).

Attached is a parts diagram of MF 135 hydraulic lift shaft for models with pressure control. Others are similar and this diagram might help you. In the diagram note that there are allen head set screws (2 - only one is shown) which secure the connecting rod to the lift cylinder arm. If installed incorrectly, one or both of these might have worked loose and caused the connecting rod to disconnect from the arm. That's the first thing that comes to mind. As always. a service manual would be helpful for this repair.

thanks for your reply.It seems there was only one screw locating the conrod and this had broken away.The replacement also had a place for only one grub screw.Back together now .would have drilled and taped for another had I known.Hope it lasts.Not a genuine mf part I presume.Thanks again.
